Spring is upon us and with daylight savings giving us some extra time to be outdoors, why not spend it in the garden?

Although Spring is the season to enjoy your blooming garden, it’s not too late to get your hands dirty and start planting.

It may be a good idea to focus on just one aspect of your garden for example the lawn, herb garden or vegetable patch.

Here are some tips that may help,

  • See where the sun hits throughout the day when deciding on what to put in what position. Some plants need shade while others can tolerate more light.
  • Read the instructions before you buy seeds and plants, this will tell you whether they will be successful in your garden’s environment.
  • Check the 28-day forecast for excessive fluctuations in the climate. Extreme temperatures could have a detrimental effect on certain plants. Torrential rain can also wash away seeds.
