Cockroaches are probably the most annoying critter in the home but research has proven just how resilient these creatures are.
According to researchers, these insects can change the way their legs move in relation to each other and speed up if necessary, similarly to a horse switching from a trot to a gallop.
This is the first time an insect has been found to have this ability. The discovery was made by academics at the Institute of Zoology at the University of Cologne in Germany.
