Bali is a favourite destination for Australian holiday makers but travellers are being warned to reconsider their plans as Bali has been listed as a Zika virus hotspot.
Pregnant women in particular have been urged to consult the travel doctor because Zika virus can cause severe malformations in unborn babies.
There are now 49 countries in total affected by the Zika virus, with Australia reporting several isolated cases of infection in people that had recently travelled abroad and picked up the virus overseas.
Although there is no outbreak in Indonesia like there was in Brazil, Australians are still being warned to be cautious.
