Freedom Screens went out of their way to organise an emergency call out to fix our screen. Jackie and Bruno were so understanding and competent, thanks to them we were able to make our house secure. We totally love our freedom screen which has been working like a charm for 6 years now. Fantastic service from the freedom Screens team! Highly recommend the product and the service!

Amazing professional service and fantastic product! We have large west-facing sliding doors leading out to a balcony with a beautiful view of the sunset in the evenings and the infinity zipline allows us to still see the great view while keeping out bugs. Hayden and Matt were both extremely helpful and professional when they came to do measurements and installing. I highly recommend Freedom Screens!

Amazing quality product and great customer service! We had a great experience with Bruno when he came out for a measure and quote. I had three other quotes from competitors but the quality of their product didn’t seem to match the product specifications from Freedom. I recommend this company to anyone looking to get a premium quality product for a good price.

What a great product! We love it! Our outdoor alfresco area has never looked so good! A huge thank you to Jessica & Cameron in the office, so professional, great follow up and follow through. Justin who installed the screens was both professional and personable, a pleasure to deal with. What an amazing team!

Retractable Fly Screen FAQs - Geelong & Bellarine Peninsula
Do you install retractable fly screens in Geelong and on the Bellarine?
Absolutely. We install retractable fly screens throughout Greater Geelong, the Bellarine Peninsula and the Surf Coast. If you’re unsure whether we service your area, just get in touch—we’re happy to help. You can also book an appointment to visit our Torquay display at 1347 Horseshoe Bend Road, Torquay.
How much do retractable fly screens cost in Geelong?
Every screen is made to measure, so price depends on the opening size and product. A single door costs less than a wide stacker or motorised alfresco system. We provide a free on-site measure and quote across Geelong, the Bellarine and Surf Coast, so you get an exact figure for your home with no obligation.
Will sea air on the Surf Coast corrode my screens?
Our screens are designed for coastal homes, with powder-coated or anodised aluminium frames built for Australian conditions. Whether you’re in Torquay, Barwon Heads or elsewhere along the coast, an occasional rinse with fresh water will help remove salt build-up and keep your screens looking their best. Because the mesh retracts into its housing when not in use, it’s exposed to far less salt and weather than a traditional fixed flyscreen.
How do I clean retractable screens near the coast?
Gently brush or vacuum the mesh, rinse the tracks with fresh water and wipe down the housing with a soft cloth. If you live close to the coast, a quick rinse every few weeks will help remove salt build-up and keep your screens operating smoothly. If your screens ever need attention, we also offer servicing and repairs.
Are the screens wind rated for Surf Coast southerlies?
Yes. The Infinity system has outstanding wind resistance for exposed coastal blocks, with mesh retained in the tracks rather than sitting loose. In very high wind, retract the screen into its cassette in seconds.
Can you fit screens to a new build?
Yes. We regularly install retractable screens in new homes across Geelong, the Bellarine and the Surf Coast. The ideal time is after your doors and windows have been installed, but before blinds or curtains are fitted. We can coordinate directly with your builder to make the installation process seamless.
Where can I see retractable fly screens near Geelong?
You can book an appointment to visit our Torquay display at 1347 Horseshoe Bend Road, Torquay, where you can see our most popular retractable screen systems in person. Alternatively, book a free in-home measure and quote anywhere across Geelong, the Bellarine Peninsula or the Surf Coast. If you’d like to explore our complete product range, our full showroom is located in Richmond, Melbourne.
Can you clean your Freedom retractable screen?
Yes. Brush or vacuum the mesh gently, rinse the tracks with warm soapy water and wipe down with a dry microfibre cloth. Do not use solvents or high-pressure hoses. Regular cleaning keeps the screen retracting smoothly and extends the life of the mesh. We recommend you retract the screen when not in use.
Do you have timber match colours?
Yes. Freedom screens are available in a range of powder-coat finishes including timber-look options, so the frame blends with existing joinery rather than standing out against it. We colour match to your door or window frames during the measure and quote.
Can the screens be automated?
Yes. Motorised options are available. Manual screens can often be specified as motorised at order time, which suits wide openings, high windows and alfresco enclosures.
What happens if the mesh gets damaged?
The mesh can be replaced without replacing the whole screen. All installations are backed by a 5-year limited warranty, and our local team provides service and repairs after the install, with a direct point of contact rather than a national call centre.
