Freedom Retractable Screens® holds 4 full patents and 13 design patents for Australia and several countries worldwide. Each of our screen systems is the product of our passion for innovation, continuous research and design development, and commitment to building the best insect screens for Australian and worldwide applications.

From our first screen systems including Infinity Zipline and ZL2, through to the premium Infinity ZLX and Smart Screens, we use a unique mesh-to-track retention system with a welded zipper to the edge of the mesh. This zipper glides smoothly through our slot-in track system to prevent the mesh from sagging or blowing out. This enhances the strength of our systems and allows us to increase the span of the screen.

Our patented brake system enhances safety by allowing you to stop the screen at any position along the track and keeping it there. The screen won’t spring-back or move on its own. You don’t need to use any latches, locks, or door stoppers that could potentially increase your risk for slipping and tripping accidents. We guarantee that our screens will stay in place no matter what part of the track you leave them on. Along with this safety benefit, our braking system also enables us to screen pillarless corners where large doors usually meet in the middle, without using any posts. This means you can always enjoy an unobstructed view with our screens.
